West Trenton Community Cleanup

(2015 Round 2 - Fall) Led by a THDC resident activist, this project organized seven youth from the neighborhood to take the lead on targeted community improvements. Two projects were carried out on West Hanover Street: installing trash cans, and improving a large vacant lot maintained by the West Hanover Civic Association as a children’s play area through the replacement of an unsightly fence and the installation of safety poles to prevent vehicular access and dumping. An additional project at the Serenity Garden refurbished the benches and carried out fall and winter landscaping.

(Ronda 2 de 2015 - Otoño) Dirigido por un activista residente de THDC, este proyecto organizó a siete jóvenes del vecindario para tomar la iniciativa en mejoras especificas en la comunidad. Se llevaron a cabo dos proyectos en Calle West Hanover: instalar botes de basura y mejorar un gran lote baldío mantenido por la Asociación Cívica de West Hanover como área de juegos para niños mediante el reemplazo de una cerca antiestética y la instalación de postes de seguridad para evitar el acceso vehicular y vertidos. Un proyecto adicional en Jardín Serenidad (Serenity Garden) renovó los bancos y llevó a cabo el paisajismo de otoño e invierno.
