GRANTS

I Am Trenton Community Foundation was founded to put resources where they matter most — on the ground. What makes Trenton even better every day is the tireless commitment of people who care — people who teach their neighbors about flooding, organize festivals, help trauma victims heal, plant trees, clean their neighborhoods, teach kids robotics, install bike pumps and mini-libraries, lead yoga workshops, record oral histories, make films, and still find time to have fun with their friends. We raise funds directly and disburse them in an annual citywide grant round, and partner with other organizations for neighborhood-focused initiatives.

Making Trenton Even Better 2024

We have two grants running concurrently this year

Citywide Grants that support ideas that address equity, social justice, resilience, and community improvement.

Downtown Trenton (DTTN) Grants support community projects, arts, culture, beautification, and business development in the “downtown” neighborhood which is bordered by the Assunpink Creek and D&R Canal – also called “Creek to Canal, Rt1 to Old Barracks”., in collaboration with Isles, Inc. See Map

Citywide Grants

Our annual grant round funds projects anywhere in Trenton.

Old Trenton Neighborhood Grants

This neighborhood grant round funds projects in the Hanover/Academy area near downtown, in collaboration with Isles.

THDC Neighborhood Grants

The Trenton Historic Development Collaborative grant round (currently on hiatus) is focused on a portion of the inner West Ward, in collaboration with Isles.

East Trenton Neighborhood Grants

This now-concluded program funded projects in East Trenton (North Clinton Ave area), in partnership with the East Trenton Collaborative.

Special Grants
