Old Trenton Flavor

This project enabled Trenton families to create art with artist Marthalicia Matarrita at the Trenton Free Public Library during Artworks’ Art Making Day on April 21, 2018, and for Artworks to commission a set of mural panels, "From Taino to Trenton", by Trenton-based artist Jazmyn Jones, which were installed on the exterior of the TFPL and depict Puerto Rican culture, history, and nature, celebrating the Puerto Rican community in Old Trenton.

Este proyecto permitió a las familias de Trenton crear arte con la artista Marthalicia Matarrita en la Biblioteca Pública Gratuita de Trenton (Trenton Free Public Library) durante el Día de Creación de Arte (Art Making Day) de Artworks el 21 de abril de 2018, y a Artworks encargar un conjunto de paneles murales, "De los tainos a Trenton", del artista residente de Trenton Jazmyn Jones, que se instalaron en el exterior de la biblioteca y representan la cultura, historia y naturaleza puertorriqueña, celebrando la comunidad puertorriqueña en el antiguo Trenton.
