The project goal is to highlight the value of language and culture as a driver in equity and social justice. Immigrants, including Puerto Ricans, often leave behind their home language and cultural traditions, as they begin a new life in the U.S. Our project's goal is to shift the view of language and culture as recognized assets that play a vital role in a global society which is good for all.
El objetivo del proyecto es resaltar el valor de la lengua y la cultura como impulsores de la equidad y la justicia social. Los inmigrantes, incluidos los puertorriqueños, a menudo dejan atrás su idioma natal y sus tradiciones culturales cuando comienzan una nueva vida en los EE. UU. El objetivo de nuestro proyecto es cambiar la visión del idioma y la cultura como activos reconocidos que desempeñan un papel vital en una sociedad global que es bueno para todos.
